Silvia Candiani is Microsoft Italy Chief Executive Officer helping Italian companies embracing the digital transformation opportunity and fostering a more inclusive and sustainable society in Italy thanks to innovation.
Under her tenure, Silvia Candiani has developed many initiatives to accelerate the adoption of modern technologies among Italian public and private companies to increase their global growth and competitiveness.
In 2018, it launched the Ambizione Italia program, a collaborative platform focused on developing and strengthening digital skills to support employment and increase economic growth in the country. Thanks to her commitment, together with numerous partners, 500,000 people have already been trained on digital technologies in a year, focusing on students and teachers in disadvantaged areas.
During her career, she’s always demonstrated strong commitment on Diversity and Inclusion, especially on increasing women’s leadership in the corporate world in Italian companies and fostering partnership with
Association and NGOs to leverage technologies to eliminate barriers and create a more inclusive society.
Before being appointed CEO of Microsoft Italy, Silvia Candiani was General Manager Consumer and Devices
Sales (CDS) in Microsoft Central and Eastern Europe. Prior to that, she was Marketing and Operation Lead and Consumer&Online General Manager for Microsoft Italy.
Silvia Candiani started her career in McKinsey as a consultant in Media and Telco businesses and then moved to Vodafone where she headed Consumer Marketing in Italy.
Silvia Candiani holds a BA in Business Administration from Bocconi University and MBA from INSEAD.
