Profile
Kirsty is the Dean for Educational Innovation at the University of Aberdeen. Kirsty works closely with a range of stakeholders to foster innovation and sharing of best practice with particular emphasis on using technology to enhance learning and the student experience. Currently, Kirsty is involved in exploring how technology can be used to enhance the relationship between space-based and digital delivery, particularly in relation to the development of teaching and learning spaces. This has included the trialling of various technologies including telepresence robots to facilitate the inclusion of distance student within the traditional classroom. In addition, Kirsty has a keen interest in non-traditional routes to higher education including unbundling of degrees, and micro-credential approach to degree building.
