Richard Band is the WW Head of Mobile Core and 5G for Communications Technology Group, Hewlett Packard Enterprise.

HPE Communications Technology Group (CTG) provides an innovative portfolio of telecom industry-specific software products, solutions and professional services for demanding Communications Service Providers (CSPs) globally.

Within the CTG portfolio, the Mobile Core and 5G segment covers both Public and Private core networks, with a specific focus on HLR/HSS, Shared Data Layer, and 5G Control Plane Network Functions. Richard is responsible for the product strategy, product development and business results in Mobile Core and 5G.

Richard’s career with HPE spans 23 years. His previous roles include WW Network GTM Director, EMEA Domain Director, Vodafone Global Account Manager, Program Manager, Solution Architect and R&D Technical Leader.

Richard earned his Master’s Degree in Computer Science at Universiteit Twente and graduated with an MBA at HEC Paris. He is based in Grenoble, France.
