About the event
Africa has a population of 1.2 billion people, yet 50% of these have limited access to regular activity electricity. Many telecom sites still need diesel generators as a main power resource which has an extremely high cost OPEX and is damaging to the environment. At the same time, innovative ICT products and solutions are playing an increasingly important role in conserving energy and reducing emissions in various industries and contributing to a green and low-carbon society.
The Green ICT Forum provide insights, best practices and key learning on how to provide the people of Africa and the ICT industry with access to clean, reliable energy.
