Robert JosephDirector, Industrial Strategy for Industry 4.0 at Stanley Black & Decker
Robert received an M.S. and a Ph.D. from Carnegie Mellon in Computer Science, as well as a B.S. and M.S. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Electrical Engineering. He has developed state-of-the-art technology (e.g. online learning systems, phone apps, internet applications, and desktop applications) for companies including AT&T Bell Laboratories, US West, Sony, Freshwater Software, and school districts across the country. Also as a University professor for 10+ years, he has taught over 3,000 students in all levels of Computer Science and Mathematics. Currently he is the Director of Industrial Strategy in Industry 4.0 at Stanley Black & Decker where he works with Plants as a Data Scientist using IoT and AI to improve efficiency. In the past he worked in Supply Chain utilizing Data Science to create business results. But through all that, his greatest accomplishment is being the father of two awesome teenage boys.
