Girish Ramachandran is the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for the City of Dallas and leads the City’s efforts in the area of Technology Optimization & Transformation. He is responsible for Technology Strategy, I T Governance, Enterprise Project Management, Business Analysis, Emerging Technology, Enterprise Architecture, Web Portal, Geographic Information Systems, Data Transparency, Business Intelligence, Big Data, Data Management, I T delivery, standards and Customer relationship. He assists City leadership to define a forward-looking Technology roadmap that adopts emerging technologies, harness business intelligence, define approach to Data Management and establishing a sustainable technology architecture that improves & promotes data driven services.


Girish is committed to making Dallas a Smarter City that fosters an eco-system, with improved data sharing and Business Intelligence capabilities that in turn will drive effective and efficient decision making. Member of the Smart Cities Connect Advisory Committee (SCC), a contributor to the Dallas Innovation Alliance (DIA) and a governing body member of the Dallas Chief Data Officer(CDO) community. Prior to joining the City, he worked at global organizations in the space of Telecom, Retail, Finance and Hospitality leading strategic initiatives, championing business cases, optimizing business operations, building effective teams and driving change effectively. He has a Bachelor’s in Electronics & Communication Engineering and PG in Marketing Management.
