Dr. Alan ZhouManaging Partner at Anxin Capital
Alan is an Internet of Things and mobile wireless communications technology visionary with the invention of the 3G mobile wireless router in 2003. He has over 25 years of experiences in the communications industries where he held technical and management executive positions in both start up and global companies such as AT&T Bell Labs, Lucent Technologies and Qualcomm.
Currently, Alan is the Managing Partner in An Xin Capital responsible for global investment in Semiconductor, AIoT and smart hardware/technologies. He is the Chairman of BellEds Technologies, a smart lighting IoT company started by a team of MIT graduates. Alan also founded or co-founded several companies, including MEMSIC (IPO in NASDAQ), Top Global USA(acquired) and Bellnet Technologies.
Previously, as Corporate Vice President at Qualcomm, Alan was responsible for all Qualcomm smart phone chipset business and design wins. His team delivered >$3B revenue and >150M units of smart phone chipsets per year. While working for AT&T and Lucent as Managing Director, he established the first communications IC design center and launched the first GSM handset reference design to a dozen leading communications and consumer electronics companies.
Alan received his Ph.D. and MS degrees in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from MIT with over 30 patents granted.
