Jack WrightTechnical Leader - Networks, Advanced Infrastructure Technologies at Ford Motor Company
Mr. Wright is a Technical Leader in Advance Infrastructure Technologies, assessing and enabling the application of new and emerging technologies in automotive manufacturing and transportation services. In his tenure with Ford, Jack has led many IT initiatives most notable has been his identification and early adoption of disruptive technologies.
Mr. Wright oversaw the implementation of one of the world's oldest and largest private enterprise IP networks -- a decade ahead of the industry. Registering Ford.com, securing a Class A address, and employing technologies from startups Cisco and Synoptics, he established both LAN and WAN standards servicing over 850 Ford facilities world-wide. Jack initiated the creation of private exchanges for business-critical e-commerce using IP inter-networking that continue to serve as the foundation for collaboration and EDI between automotive OEMs, their trading partners. Mr. Wright launched www.ford.com and he initiated early adoption of IP telephony, SIP, IP Audio / Video conferencing, and IP telephony enabled customer relationship centers.
Mr. Wright has led teams that closed, consolidated, and built new data centers across the world. Constructed and operated private fiber systems in support of Product Development and Manufacturing Campuses as well as city-wide or inter-city systems.
Mr. Wright holds B.S. Degree in Computer and Information Sciences from Oakland University's School of Engineering.
