James Glasnapp is a UX researcher with over 15 years experience executing primary cross-cultural research both in the U.S. and internationally. James motivates clients to look beyond the obvious and imagine future possibilities. His inspiration lies in finding opportunities to use ethnographic data to achieve process and technological innovation with respect to human interaction. As a Senior Member of PARC’s Research Staff, James’ areas of expertise include ethnography, evaluation, planning, behavioral therapy, modeling, requirement analysis, competency transfer, advertising, and public health. He was responsible for co-developing a model for human-display interaction with PARC computer scientists based on ethnographic observations, and he previously managed PARC’s Workscapes and Organization Team. His most recent work includes projects in the transportation, health, and personal beauty industries. Dr. Glasnapp received his Ph.D. and masters degree from the University of California, Berkeley, and was later invited back to be a visiting professor, where he taught a class in Program Planning and Evaluation. He has also studied at the Academy of Intuition Medicine in Sausalito, California, where he received his Masters Certification in Intuition Medicine, Intuition, and Energy Healing in 2014. Aided by his work in the area of intuition and insight, he seeks to always ask the right questions in the right ways within the research environment.
