Marcos Antonio Mandarano is an electronic engineer who graduated from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro with a master's degree from COPPE / UFRJ. He has more than 22 years of experience in the Telecommunications (terrestrial and satellite) and Multimedia (digital collaboration and entertainment) market working for national and international companies.
He was working for BT (British Telecom) for more than twelve years and over the past four years was leading disruptive IoT's projects for global companies in the Latin America Region. Last year he started working on one of the Brazilian government's IoT projects, joining the Pontifical Catholic University (PUC-RJ) team on the designing and implementing of the IoT pilot for the Agro & Health sector. This project has the support of the Brazilian government (through BNDES) and participation of multinational and national companies.
Marcos is associated with the Brazilian Internet of Things Forum and has also been member and juror for over 12 years at the International Academy of Television Arts and Sciences – (Emmy Award), which awards the best multimedia entertainment contents in the world.
