With close to 30 years of experience developing innovative and compelling software applications ranging from ground-breaking games to leading edge IoT solutions, Michael is widely regarded as a subject matter expert in the area of IoT, analytics and Artificial Intelligence. Michael has developed patents for detecting financial fraud and other illicit activity online, including detecting a global money laundering scheme used by terrorist organizations.
He has helped connect thousands of devices to the Internet and created applications to interact and leverage the data collected by these devices. He has developed numerous data-driven decision platforms and has used AI and machine learning to automate and predict behaviour throughout his career.
While working as the CTO of Inceptor, he developed patented technology for automating online marketing campaigns that predicted, and even influenced, human behaviour. This company was acquired by Verizon. More recently he has focused on architecting IoT solutions that leverage data to drive changes in business efficiency, revenue models and predictive maintenance. He recently worked with Georgia-Pacific to help design an IoT system that leveraged data to improve worker productivity.
He is currently working on multiple AI projects that include predicting surgical device failures, improving factory worker productivity and inventory control; and a large scale project with the government of India to help assess and predict technologies being used in the effort to clean the Ganges river of toxins and bio-containments.
When not working, Michael enjoys flying, golf, skiing and testing the absolute range of his Tesla. Michael has degrees from Brandeis University, the University of Massachusetts and several certificates from MIT in advanced studies related to machine learning, AI and IoT.
