Tiffany ThomsonDirector of Customer Service at City of Denton
Tiffany oversees the Customer Service, Denton Municipal Court and Animal Services departments for the City of Denton. The Customer Service department is responsible for supporting citizens and utility customers throughout the City of Denton. Last year, the Customer Service call center answered 196,000 calls, and lobby personnel assisted 72,000 visitors. In addition, the department is responsible for generating utility bills and collecting payments for a utility customer base of over 63,000 customers.
The Denton Municipal Court is responsible for the administration and clerical support for all Denton Municipal Court proceedings required by state statue. These responsibilities include collection of fines, fees and state costs, filing of all appropriate documentation, coordinating court appearances of participants, reporting convictions to the State of Texas Department of Public Safety and providing statistical reporting to City and State entities.
The function of the Denton Animal Services department is to promote animal welfare, provide and operate the Linda McNatt Animal Care and Adoption Center, care of stray animals, provide reunification with owners and adoptions of animals, and to provide care and welfare programs to meet the needs and expectations of the citizens.
Tiffany joined the City of Denton in 2003. She holds a Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership from Waldorf University and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Management from Columbia Southern University. Tiffany is passionate about community involvement and serving. In 2015, her family was recognized as the 2015 Greater Denton Family of the Year.
Tiffany is a member of The National Society of Leadership and Success, Texas Public Power Association (TPPA), American Public Power Association (APPA), Keep Denton Beautiful, Inc., and Serve Denton board.
