Russell Haworth is CEO of Nominet, the technology company that runs the .UK internet infrastructure. Under Russell’s leadership, the company has diversified into cyber security, wireless technologies and broader registry services, counting the British government and some of the world’s largest companies as clients. Russell has a keen interest in global internet trends and technologies that have the potential to transform lives, and instigated a Nominet programme to help one million young people thrive in a digital world. He is a Board member of techUK, Chair of Digital Leaders and on the Advisory Board of cyber security accelerator CYLON.
Russell has held senior roles across four continents, covering both established and emerging markets for Thomson Reuters, where he led over 30 M&A transactions to develop the business in the Americas, Asia and the Middle East. Before joining Reuters, Russell worked with Deloitte Corporate Finance, and as a strategy consultant for PA Consulting Group.
Russell holds a First Class Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University. He is a chartered member of the Institute of Marketing, a member of the Young Presidents Organisation, and a fellow of the British Computer Society.
