Profile

Jill Spaeh is using her fervor for innovation, global connectiveness and 20 years of experience in design & construction in her current role as Global Virtual Design & Construction (VDC) Specialist for construction product manufacturer BASF. She holds a master’s in Architecture from Virginia Polytechnic University in Blacksburg, Virginia and has worked alongside industry leaders, including Germany’s leading architect, Behnisch & Partner. At BASF, Jill is spearheading the global implementation of VDC solutions and BIM with her versatile leadership experienced in creative strategy, training implementation, and business development. She is passionate about entrepreneurship and creating solutions that help tackle big-picture problems.


Jill is a frequent industry speaker and invited panelist. Internationally, she has lectured and taught architecture and innovation. She served as lecturer at Queen’s University, Belfast, at the University of Augsburg, Germany and was an academic professional and associate professor at University North Carolina, Greensboro, NC. As founder & principal of Spaeh Architecture & Environments, (2005-2016), she spoke on design and innovation topics at major Universities and at Entrepreneurial in Design Conferences. She joins as a panelist for US Green Building Council, Engineering and Architecture conferences in the US and Europe. In March 2019, she presented “Modern Times - AEC Business Transformation in the Era of AR/VR”, and a panelist at VRX Conference & Expo 2019 in Amsterdam.
