Naima Abed began her film career in 2004 as a legal and business affairs executive at Celluloid Dreams where she dedicated her time to deal-making and commercial negotiations, as well as multiparty finance structuring. Abed joined Maximum Films in 2007, where she helped transition the company to media giant, eOne, garnering more client-facing international sales expertise.
With an appetite to learn more about production, Abed stepped into a production executive role atHeadline Pictures, where she developed film and TV development experience. While at Headline, she was involved in the production of such films as Dustin Hoffman’s QUARTET, THE INVISIBLE WOMAN directed by and starring Ralph Fiennes, and series including Amazon’s THE MAN IN THE HIGH CASTLE (2016 Creative Emmy Winner) and BBC’s PETER PAN.
Prior to launching the new venture Paradise City with Emilie Georges, Abed joined Georges at Memento International and La Cinéfacture, focusing on expanding and developing the companies' English-speaking activities. Over the years, Abed has played a valuable part in designing the acquisition and investment strategy for an ambitious slate of English-language projects, shifting the company’s role from a traditional sales agent to an innovative and effective role as executive producer, as well as pushing the development and production activities forward.
