Malcolm AdamsDirector of Mobile and Customer Wholesale Marketing at SingTel Optus, Australia
As a Carrier providing choice and competition in the Australian market, Optus has been committed to supporting wholesale since its inception over 20 years ago.
As such since joining Optus Wholesale in 1998, Malcolm has been a key contributor in driving Optus’ leadership position in the Wholesale Mobile marketplace.
As Director of Mobile and Customer Marketing, Malcolm leads a team that supports 25 Service Provider (light MVNO) relationships.
In this role Malcolm oversees all aspects of the Mobile Marketing performance across Pricing, Customer Development, Product Management, Planning, Development and Strategy. Malcolm also has ownership of the Marketing Communications function within the Wholesale Division.
Prior to this role Malcolm managed Strategic Customer Relationships for Optus Wholesale including Virgin Mobile (the 2nd Global MVNO of its kind at the time launching in 2000). Malcolm also led the launch of Australia’s first Virtual Mobile SP in M8 as well as managing relationships with scale Service Providers such as One.Tel and Simplus.
Prior to joining Optus Wholesale, Malcolm migrated from the UK to Australia where he held various Marketing positions in Scottish Telecom, Atlas (BT Mobile Distributor) and Harper Collins Publishers.
Educated at Napier University in Edinburgh, Scotland, Malcolm is also a Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing.
