The Intel ® Network Builders Summits Program has delivered a multi-year engagement plan to accelerate the development, deployment and adoption of solutions that are transforming the network and connecting the world. As our mature ecosystem of partners work together to meet the vision of a network transformed, Intel is also dedicated to working with Communication Service Providers (Co SPs) as a trusted advisor and help define their roadmaps, deliver the needed technical education to accelerate adoption, and connect operators from around to globe with the technologies that are opening doors to new business opportunities.
To support this endeavor, Intel Network Builders has launched an Innovation Summit Series. These summits, focusing exclusively on Co SPs and delivering NDA content that is timely and pertinent to their needs, have been carefully designed with a combination of senior technologist presentations, Co SPs keynotes, and open forum discussions on the following topics:
• Accelerating your path to 5G
• Network Edge & Telco Cloud
• Network Slicing
• Cloud Native and Containers
• AI and Machine Learning
• NFV Security
The session will kick-off the event with a brief overview of challenges communications service providers are having in transforming their networks and ways in which Intel and the ecosystem are addressing these needs.
Network transformation stages, VNF re-architecting, industry readiness. Progress and enablement, challenges and recommendations
With the evolution of the communications infrastructure and the explosion in data, IoT and next generation mobile networks, artificial intelligence is key in the strive to achieve cognitive networking and enable enhanced service offerings. This session will illustrate the current landscape and typical use cases of Artificial Intelligence (AI) applications in the Telco domain. Attendees will also be introduced to Intel’s strategy and products for Network AI, including focus areas, hardware portfolio, software stacks and ecosystem enablement.
This session will provide a high-level view of 5G and discuss target services for 5G networks. The concept of network slicing will also be covered and how it can be used in 5G networks. Network slicing is the use of NFV and SDN to create a virtualized network that meets a set of requirements. Slicing can be described as separating the network into different domains, enabling distinct management of different parts of the network that are used for different services.
What is the Network Edge and how is Intel defining this? This presentation will examine what the Network Edge is, the potential benefits of the network edge and how the industry is looking to address this opportunity for Communication Service Providers. The presentation will also talk about how Intel’s Network Builders ecosystem will support partner companies that have or who are developing Network Edge based products and solutions and how partners and communication service providers can benefit from this dedicated Network Edge Ecosystem.
The lack of a standards-based testing framework has hindered the planning, procurement and deployment of virtualized networks and functions. Intel launched the Network Services Benchmarking (NSB) program to address this issue by developing a common framework for Network Function Virtualization Infrastructure (NFVI) and Virtualized Network Functions (VNFs)
This session will recap the ways that Intel can assist with your network transformation from technology, training and ecosystem connection. You will also learn the best ways to engage with Intel on your network transformation journey.
