Network Development Core at Deutsche Telekom
Niko Meurer studied electrical engineering in Germany at the Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences with a focus on telecommunications technology and communications networks, which he succesfully completed with the degree as an Dipl.-Ing. (FH) in 2009.
After graduation he worked 2009 till summer 2014 at Deutsche Telekom in the Division of Operations and Principles Network Management. He was responsible for the operational requirements for the establishment of FTTB and FTTH networks, as well as the power supply and remote power supply of outdoor/external housings of DSL/VDSL/Vectoring.
In summer 2014 he started to work in the planning division of Deutsche Telekom, in the Department of Development Planning Core Networks (EPNC). EPNC is responsible for the development of core network platforms in terms of market, technology, cost requirements and operability. An essential task is the future-proof planning of the IP core network in Germany. He is also responsible for planning and building datacenter hardware for network functions and virtualization in Germany.
Since 2012, Mr. Meurer has been representing Deutsche Telekom with specialist presentations at various symposia and events (Draka/Prysmian Group, Langmatz, various intern units, etc.)
