Women in Comms at NFV & Carrier SDN: What's the Matter With Tech?

Thursday, September 28, 2017 | 7:00 a.m. - 8:45 a.m.

The Westin Westminster, Denver

You've seen all the headlines:

At our fourth networking breakfast event in Denver, Women in Comms we will confidently answer the "why." We maintain the tech industry is a wonderful place for women – the pay is strong; there is ample opportunity to be on the cutting-edge of technologies shaping the future of how we live, work and play; and things are improving… we think. This breakfast will take a practical look at what's going on in the world of tech today and discuss whether it's limited to Silicon Valley startups, what can be done about the challenges and how to exact lasting change. Our speakers, all of whom have built impressive careers at companies that break the mold, will share their stories, perspectives and advice. There will also be plenty of time to answer all of your questions during our laid-back, interactive panel discussion.

As always, this free event will provide both an informal setting for women and men in the industry to meet and network over breakfast and a forum to exchange ideas, learn and grow.

The event will be open to all women and men in the telecommunications, STEM and IT fields.

Light Reading and members of Women in Comms are hosting this breakfast and networking event on September 28 ahead of day two of the NFV & Carrier SDN conference at the Westin Westminster Hotel in Denver. Please join Light Reading's Liz Coyne, Kelsey Ziser and Carol Wilson and our esteemed guest speakers from Women in Comms for a lively and honest discussion that will leave you feeling inspired, motivated and equipped to make a change.
