Dr. Nicole Goldin is a leading expert on inclusive growth, human capital, youth, gender, geo-economics and societal trends. She is Managing Principal and Chief Economist of NRG Advisory - a strategy, research, insights and impact consultancy, non-resident Senior Fellow with Atlantic Council, and adjunct Professor at George Washington University. She works with the World Bank, UNICEF, FHI360, and other multilateral and international organizations and was Lead Economist, Policy and Strategy Advisor for Solutions for Youth Employment (S4YE) coalition at the World Bank. Previously, she was founding Director of the Youth Prosperity and Security Initiative at Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) where she created the acclaimed Global Youth Wellbeing Index and served in senior positions at the State Department and USAID. Her insights have been widely featured by CNN, The Economist, SSIR, Reuters, Newsweek, The Guardian, POLITICO, Axios, Devex, Diplomatic Courier, VOA, NPR, and her writings are regularly published by the Atlantic Council and World Bank. In November 2018 she was elected to Advisory Neighborhood Commission (ANC) 2A, a local governance and planning body in Washington, DC. Dr Goldin holds a PhD in economics from SOAS UK, and Masters degrees from the London School of Economics and American University. She has lived and worked extensively in Africa, the Middle East, Eurasia and across 50 countries worldwide.
