Insights Manager for the Ecosystem Accelerator programme at GSMA

Simone is an Insights Manager for the Ecosystem Accelerator programme. Her role involves providing mobile operators and start-ups across Africa and Asia with innovation intelligence. She participates in the research, analysis and production of key insights and learnings related to the start-up ecosystem. Prior to joining GSMA, Simone spent two years working with a solar company in South Africa that specializes in informal settlement electrification by installing PV solar sub-centralized stations in densely populated communities. Simone holds an MSc in Africa and International Development from the University of Edinburgh, as well as an MA in Journalism from Edinburgh Napier University. She also holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Management Sciences from the University of Stellenbosch in South Africa.
