Private Networks in a 5G World
15 - 16 June 2022

Greig Paul
Lead Mobile Networks & Security Engineer at 5G Rural Dorset

Greig Paul is the Lead Mobile Networks & Security Engineer at the  University of Strathclyde, which is the principal partner of the 5G  RuralFirst DCMS Testbeds & Trials project consortium, demonstrating new  approaches and thinking around the deployment of mobile networks in  rural areas.
He has previously consulted with mobile network operators  internationally on LTE/4G deployments. He has worked across a wide range  of sectors including financial services, agriculture and technology  companies on cyber-security.
In his work on the 5G RuralFirst project, he has developed and deployed  a bespoke software-defined infrastructure for an operational end-to-end  mobile network, and demonstrated the ability for standard LTE handsets  and equipment to be used in dynamic spectrum access based networks.
