Getting Started with Kubernetes & Container Orchestration

Kubernetes is more than just a trending topic among the tech community.  It is a community and a fast-growing product unto itself.  Born as an iteration on Google internal systems Borg, and Omega, the Kubernetes container orchestration environment is really only just getting started with its plans to dominate the containerized cloud.

Join us for a half-day workshop on getting started with Kubernetes, where you’ll get hands-on experience and learn what Kubernetes is, what problems it solves, challenges you’ll face.

Security

Security Incident Response in the Digital Age

In this half-day workshop, we’ll explore the new challenges around IR when you have many outsourced services, cloud providers and notifications processes. Areas to explore:

  • How do you get images for IaaS or PaaS systems? Most contracts don’t allow testing/forensics work; at best, the details are muddled.
  • What tools will work and are accepted by the courts? Hint: Don’t look for out-of-the-box functionality.
  • How do you deal with logging of all these services? Any given end user might authenticate using Okta, log in to desktop as a service in AWS, and access a SaaS app for customer data. Yet to get a complete picture you need logs from all three, correlated and stored centrally.
