Rick CrawfordCongressman at US Congress
Congressman Rick Crawford has a depth and breadth of practical agricultural experience and policy knowledge few in Congress can match. Whether it’s his time spent on working ranches, his career as an agri-marketer, his youth experience in both 4H and FFA, or his years in the rodeo business, Rick has spent most of his life working in the industry that he loves.
Rick’s career in agriculture cuts a wide swathe and includes extensive experience in the horse and cattle industries as both a rodeo competitor and announcer, and a ranch foreman. In the row crop industry, Rick carved out a distinct niche serving ag producers as a farm broadcaster and agri-marketer. He earned a Series Three commodity broker’s license and founded an innovative agri-marketing firm leveraging technology to develop one of the Midsouth’s most widely respected farm news sources on radio and the internet.
Since his election to Congress in 2010, Rick has served on the House Agriculture Committee. He has chaired numerous sub-committees and has risen to be one of the most senior members on the committee. He is also the second most senior member on the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee where he has found unique opportunities to couple his work in agriculture with the work of helping move American goods across the country and the world. He has earned the trust and respect of House Leadership having been appointed three years ago to serve on the prestigious House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence.
