Cooper Martin is an expert in urban policy, sustainable development, and climate resilience with more than ten years of experience working with local, state, and federal government. As the Director of Sustainability & Solutions at the National League of Cities, Cooper works with mayors, councilmembers, and other local leaders throughout the US to build stronger communities.
Prior to joining the NLC, he held multiple positions in government and community relations at the American Institute of Architects and worked one legislative session in the Kansas House of Representatives. Cooper’s educational background includes a Bachelor of Political Science and International Studies from the University of Kansas and a Master’s in Public Policy from American University.
