Mike TrimbleDirector Corridor Programmes at City of Austin
Mike Trimble has more than 20 years of experience in bringing effective, innovative strategies to the public sector for improved outcomes. Mike has provided executive leadership for both public and private organizations, and for the past 10 years for the City of Austin.
In 2010, Mike was chosen to head the City of Austin’s new Capital Planning Office, which was established to create a more robust, strategic, and integrated Capital Improvement Program for the city. Under his leadership, the Capital Planning Office was recognized by the American Planning Association and the Public Technology Institute for its innovative and effective approaches to municipal CIP strategic planning.
Following passage of Austin’s largest-ever transportation bond in 2016, Mike was appointed Director of the newly created Corridor Program Office. Under his leadership, the office manages implementation of the $500 million Corridor Mobility Program and aims to improve mobility, safety, and connectivity on key Austin corridors for all modes of transportation as well as to support achievement of key community goals such as affordability, complete and equitable communities.
Mike is a graduate of Texas A&M University, is a certified Project Portfolio Management Professional through the Project Management Institute and is accredited by the Congress for New Urbanism.
