Shawn P. McCarthy is Research Director for IDC Government Insights, responsible for collecting and assessing government market data, and providing IT investment and positioning strategies for both government and tech suppliers. He manages the IDC Government Insights: United States Government Infrastructure and Systems Optimization Strategies research advisory service, which focuses heavily on government systems integration and includes technology recommendations and key industry forecasting for government IT systems. He has a Masters Degree from The George Washington University and a Bachelors Degree from St. Bonaventure University.
