Stacey Matlen is a Senior Mobility Strategist at the City of Detroit’s Office of Mobility Innovation, where she works to understand Detroit residents’ core mobility challenges, and develops and launches new mobility solutions to address these needs. During her time with the City, she has piloted public-private partnerships, launched innovative resident access programs, and is currently leading COVID-19 response efforts by increasing access to essential services and jobs. Prior to joining the City of Detroit, Stacey was co-founder and CEO of Cart, a social impact company which enabled low-income residents’ access to affordable food. She received a MPH from the University of Michigan School of Public Health, a bachelor’s degree with high distinction in International Studies: Global Health and Environment from the University of Michigan, and was named one of Crain’s Detroit Business “20 in their 20s
