Senior Lecturer in Information Systems at Swedish Center for Digital Innovation / Umea University
Ulrika is a senior lecturer at the Department of Informatics, Umeå University, Sweden and a faculty member of the Swedish Center for Digital Innovation. Ulrika is specialized in information technology and organizational change and her work covers topics such as servitization processes, emergent forms of organizing, digital innovation, and value creation. Over the years Ulrika has collaborated with a number of firms within the manufacturing and process industries and has, amongst other things, studied the implementation and use of remote monitoring systems within that context. Currently she is focusing on viable business models for firms that are operating within an Internet of Things ecosystem and on IoT for societal benefit. Ulrika is the co-author of “The IoT guide: A Business Guide to the Internet of Things”, which shows how Swedish firms apply IoT to develop new products, services, and business models, and highlights the multiple ways in which IoT can be incorporated into organizational life. Ulrika’s work is published in journals such as Business Horizons, Information and Organization, Information Systems and E-business Management Journal, and the Information Systems Journal. Ulrika holds and A.B. in International Relations from Bryn Mawr College and a Ph. D. in Information Systems from Umeå University.
