Roudaina Al KhaniLecturer in Planning and Design and Director of Platforms at University of Westminster
Roudaina is the founder and director of Platforms for sustainable cities and regions - a research-based practice in London providing consultancy in strategic urban and regional planning and integrated sustainable development, and designing knowledge platforms.
Roudaina is also a Lecturer and Supervisor in Planning and Urban Design at the University of Westminster across different undergraduate and postgraduate courses with a focus on strategic planning, urban design, sustainability, and urban and eco-innovation.
Roudaina has extensive experience with the planning work at the national, regional and city levels from Europe and the Middle East, from local authorities, including Copenhagen, consultancy assistance to ministries and international organisations and NGOs. She is a lecturer, a conference Chair, an author of several publications and a member of the expert network of the Worldwide Network on Port Cities and its Scientific Committee.
Roudaina has a PhD from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, Planning Institute with focus on sustainable port cities, a Master Research in Urban Planning and Urban Management from the Paris Planning Institute and is an architect from the University of Damascus
