Sean Blankenship joined Coldwell Banker Real Estate in June 2013 as senior vice president of marketing and was promoted to Chief Marketing Officer in January 2014. He has more than 25 years of marketing experience, most recently leading the digital strategy, development and execution for Gulf States Toyota in Houston, a leading Toyota distributor, as the director of digital marketing.

Blankenship oversees and directs the Coldwell Banker brand’s consumer marketing efforts, including advertising, online initiatives, market research, public relations, internal communications and broker engagement activities.  He also guides all aspects of the Coldwell Banker brand’s web platform, including www.coldwellbanker.com and mobile platforms, as well as marketing activities associated with Coldwell Banker Previews International®, the brand’s affluent sales program.

Blankenship has led several Coldwell Banker Real Estate initiatives that have drawn rave reviews inside and outside of the real estate industry. The brand’s most recent advertising campaigns have scored as two of the best in AceMetrix history in the real estate category, while the brand’s new digital platform is the first to allow home sellers direct access into the sales process by allowing them to post comments, photos and videos about their home.

Blankenship is also the driver of CBx, which provides Coldwell Banker affiliated sales associates with visual representation of critical big data points, including home pricing, demographics and market details, to augment their listings presentation.

Blankenship served as vice president of marketing for CODA Automotive, Inc., an electric vehicle and battery manufacturer in Santa Monica, Calif., before his move to Gulf States Toyota. He previously spent seven years at Nissan North America, Inc. where he worked on strategic leadership, district operations and interactive marketing for Nissan’s Altima and Maxima products along with Infiniti.  He also was a group account director at iCrossing, Inc., one of the top digital agencies in the U.S.

Blankenship is a graduate of California State University at Fullerton who earned his MBA from the University of Phoenix. He is a licensed REALTOR®.
