Profile
Having a degree in Computer Science at the University of Buenos Aires (1990), Victor is Head of Strategy and Transformation Programs at the Cybersecurity Unit in Telefonica Spain. In his role he is in charge to drive business strategy in the Cybersecurity market in Spain, where Telefonica is the market leader, including competences in Marketing, Innovation, Internal & External Communication. In addition Victor is leading go-to-market of security products for the SMB segment. He also collaborates with Telefonica´s Corporate blog #ThinkBigEmpresas and the interal “intrapreneur” program. Prior to this role, Victor held various management positions in the areas of eBusiness, IT Outsourcing and eHealth in Telefonica Group since 2001. He was a Senior Manager at the IT Practice of KPMG in LATAM (1995-2001).
In teaching roles, he was assistant professor in Information Systems at the University of Buenos Aires (1995-2000). He was part of the teaching staff for an in-company program at Instituto de Empresa (Madrid, 2002) and currently is an internal professor for the School of Excellence in Telefonica Spain. Former member of the American Association of Artificial Intelligence, he has also presented artificial intelligence research papers on Machine Learning in PRICAI 1992, Seoul (Korea) and XXI JAIIO Buenos Aires (Argentina); additional to articles in Revista Sindicatura and “Líderes del Tercer Milenio”, a business development manual, published jointly by “Mercado” magazine and “Clarín” multimedia group.
