An entrepreneur, investor, and futurist, Pocket Sun is on a mission to redefine the next generation of diverse entrepreneurs and investors. She is co-founder and Managing Partner at SoGal Ventures, the world's first female-led next-generation venture capital firm investing in women and diverse entrepreneurs. She led fundraising for SoGal's first fund which has $15M under management and 35 investments to date. She is also Co-President at SoGal Foundation, a NY-headquartered nonprofit with the largest global platform providing grassroots communities, education and access to women and minority founders in 55 cities across 5 continents.
Shortly after receiving her Master's Degree from the University of Southern California in Entrepreneurship and Innovation, Pocket became one of the youngest persons ever to be on the cover of Forbes Magazine at the age of 24. As a disruptor in venture capital and advocate for diversity, she is frequently invited for keynotes and panels to organizations such as P&G, PwC, Coca Cola, Credit Suisse, Bank of America, and at top conferences including Microsoft CEO Summit, Fortune's Most Powerful Women Summit, and TEDx. Pocket was the TV Host of Start-Up Season 5 (Shark Tank of Singapore) which aired in 26 Asian markets, and has a Chinese business podcast with 1 million+ listens. She was on the covers of Forbes Asia magazine in March 2016 and A Magazine in November 2019.
