Andrew Hardie
DevOps Strategy Architect at Metropolitan Police


Andrew Hardie is an international consultant with a thirty year record of managing, implementing, designing and delivering innovative and successful ICT solutions for public sector, commercial and NGO clients. In those thirty years, Andrew helped design & introduce the first laptop word processor (Liberator) in the UK, designed systems for the first UK Government email project (IDEM), computerised Hansard and Parliamentary Questions, set up the first Web site in the UK Parliament in 1993 and implemented the IT systems for Tony Blair's highly successful 1997 general election campaign, digital audio systems for the Irish Parliament and Web-enabled collaborative workflow systems for the new Assembly in Belfast and the Council of Europe in Strasbourg.

Andrew has been doing DevOps for ten years, for clients including an international NGO, a London Borough Council, Big Data and Mobile start-ups, a FinTech company, and a Web design agency. Most recently, he was CI Architect and the Home Office, Lead Devops engineer on the £350m flagship Ministry of Justice Common Platform program, Senior DevOps engineer at HSBC & DevOps Transformation Lead at Lloyds Bank. He is currently DevOps Strategy Architect at the Metropolitan Police Service.
