2017 Project Kairos Startup Exhibitors
Platysens develops coaching platforms differentiated with specialised sensors. Working within the coaching ecosystem, our platform enables virtual coaching, data analysis and makes data in wearables meaningful again.
Our product targets sports activities with training and coaching demands such as swimming. Key customer groups are serious sports amateurs who are early adopters and coaches who are our key partners.
Current coaching is mainly subjective and performed face to face. On off days, it is difficult to provide instructions or feedback. By developing specialised sensors targeted to specific sports, we aim to allow coaches to provide feedback based on captured sensor data. This solves the problem faced by wearables, where a vast amount of data is collected by no one knows how to make use of the data. By adding coaches as our partners, we aim to enable meaningful analysis of the data to generate metrics that users can use in their training or coaching routines.
Our business model is subscription based supplemented by hardware sales of our specialised sensors. Key partners are coaches, who will help promote and distribute the products. We have launched the MARLIN swim meter and will launch the SEAL stroke analyzer later in 2017.
