Vice President, Digital Video at Amazon
Michael Paull is the Vice President of Digital Video. In this role, he is responsible for global Content, Product, Technology, Operations and Marketing of Amazon Channels – Amazon’s over-the-top streaming subscription program that provides Prime members access to video subscriptions from more than 75 top networks including STARZ, SHOWTIME, AcornTV and PBS KIDS, among others.
Since joining Amazon in 2012, Paull has been integral in evolving Amazon’s SVOD strategy, enabling customers to access exactly what they want to watch, when and how they want to watch it. He has played a leading role in the development of Amazon Video and Prime Video in recent years.
Over the past year, Amazon Channels has seen tremendous success under Paull’s leadership, helping to shape today’s OTT industry narrative. Beyond the numerous benefits Amazon Channels offers to customers – free subscription trials, convenience of one account, latest episodes available simultaneously with broadcast – it also provides video providers a new way to drive viewer acquisition.
Prior to Amazon, Paull held senior leadership positions at Sony, Fox and Time Warner. He holds a master's degree in business administration from the Harvard Business School.
