Profile

Mr. Yang Tao is currently the Secretary-General of the World WLAN Application Alliance (Hereinafter referred to as WAA), and presides over the daily operation of WAA.

From 2013 to 2020, he served as the President of the Global Marketing Department of Huawei's Carrier BG, the Chief Strategy Officer of the European Region, and the Vice President of the Carrier Business Department in China, responsible for 5G innovation, Internet of Things innovation and marketing.

From 1997 to 2012, he served as vice president of Huawei's wireless product line, participated in and presided over the research and development of 2G and 3G core network systems, and was responsible for product management and strategic planning in the wireless field.
