Mr Jesus C. Romero
Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Operations Officer at Converge ICT Solutions Inc.

Profile

Appointed as Chief Operations Officer in 2016, Boboy currently leads SCM, Inventory Management and Warehouse functions of the company as well as special projects initiated by the CEO that require efficient execution and alignment with organizational objectives.

Boboy’s years of experience and expertise in the ICT industry, ensures that operations are

optimized to grow the business.

At the height of the Covid-19 pandemic, Boboy helped Converge expand its presence nationwide

covering all the major islands in the Philippines. The massive roll-out of fiber to the home was a major contribution of Converge that pump-primed the industry in the Philippines. Apart from making services available to unserved and underserved areas, it has also led to better connectivity experience, dramatically improved customer service, and competitive pricing.

With the firm belief that the network is the product, Mr. Romero is also instrumental in making the Converge network one of the most advanced and resilient infrastructures in the country. To date, Converge has acquired capacity in major international networks including the Bifrost Cable system and SEA-H2X, both operational by 2024. This positions Converge as a strong player in the wholesale and international market.

Prior to joining Converge, Mr. Romero held senior leadership positions in Globe Telecom, DTSI

Group, ComStream Corporation and Hughes Network systems. He has led market entry, growth

and transformation in the areas of Telecommunications, Systems Integration and IT services.

Mr. Romero received a Bachelor's degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering

(“B.S.E.E.”) from the De La Salle University in Manila, the Philippines in 1984.
