Brennen Smith is the Vice President of Technology at Ookla, the leading provider of crowd-sourced internet testing, analysis, and diagnostic tools. As one of the original infrastructure engineers at Ookla, he played a significant role in building Speedtest.net and developing the innovative technologies that power the company's continued success. In 2019, Brennen joined Apple to lead their Edge infrastructure organization, where he oversaw critical platforms and expanded Apple's Edge to new markets, developed the secure edge computing environment for Apple Private Relay, and introduced novel technologies to iCloud's Edge.

Brennen returned to Ookla this past year with a mission to improve internet performance globally by innovating novel solutions and industry partnerships. He is an accomplished speaker and mentor, having earned a BSc (Hons) in Informatics from the University of Washington.
