Jim Teicher is a veteran telecom, content, and digital learning innovator. He founded CyberSmart Africa in 2008 with a committed vision to transform teaching and learning, and currently serves as CEO and director. He has designed and implemented the first massively scalable, solar-powered mobile learning platform, including an artificial intelligence-enabled social network uniquely designed to help teachers get ahead.
Jim is also cofounder and CEO of CyberSmart Education, a leader provider of digital learning. He is also director of The CyberSmart Learning Institute, producer of the award-winning feature film "Tall as the Baobab Tree" – inspiring tens of millions of girls in sub-Saharan Africa to stay in school.
Jim has served on the advisory board of the United States Congressional Internet Caucus, the consumer advisory board of McAfee Corporation, is co-founder of the National Cyber Security Alliance, has been a TEDx speaker, and is a member of the mEducation Alliance, among other affiliations.
Prior to CyberSmart Education, Jim was founder and CEO of Stockalert, Inc., a financial information company. He previously served as CEO of Smart Tone, Inc., an innovator in the field of internet security, was Division Vice President of The PaineWebber Group/UBS, the global financial services firm, and was marketing and product manager at the global telecom AT&T.
