Adaeze Sokan has interests in startup development and partnerships, policy, trade, digital economy and development cooperation for Africa’s development. She is mostly recognized as an innovation in Governance strategist known to drive impact in Governance towards sustainable and inclusive economic prosperity.

She works at Ventures Platform where she leads a vibrant team to design and implement programs to support startups. She has designed and coordinated the implementation of programs & policies that enhance tech-entrepreneurship, talent development, digital access, trade, work ethics, and regulatory support. She has worked with diverse stakeholders such as the World Bank, European Union, Google, British Council, USAID, and selected Nigerian Government Institutions.

Through her blog, she advocates for policy reforms and development cooperation that enhance cross border trade in the digital sector and economic development.

She has a Bachelor's degree & a Masters in Political Science/Economics and African Studies from Illinois State University and UCLA respectively. She is an Obama Leader fellow.
