Lare Atcha-OubouRegional Director, North and West Africa at Intelsat
Lare Atcha-Oubou key responsibilities include implementing the Intelsat regional branch for West Africa, developing new business and growing customer base.
For the period of 2007 and 2013 Lare Atcha-Oubou was Managing Sales Director. His key responsibilities include supervising Sales Directors, overseeing Sales and Marketing activities for Network Services, Media, and Internet services and growing customer base in Africa.
For the period 1996 to 2006 Lare Atcha-Oubou was Regional Sales Director Africa and Middle East in charge of Sales and Marketing activities for English speaking African countries. In this capacity he has contributed to the development and implementation of the first Direct-to-Home TV community over Southern Africa.
Lare Atcha-Oubou has been instrumental in promoting Internet service using satellite capacity and has managed to connect most of African telecommunication service providers to various United States Internet backbones.
Prior to joining Intelsat in 1993 Lare Atcha-Oubou occupied various management positions within Togo Telecom. Lare Atcha-Oubou was Director Sales & Marketing and Director of International Network.
Lare Atcha-Oubou represented Africa Group II at the Intelsat Board of Governors Technical Committee. Lare Atcha-Oubou was a member of the National Expert Committee for Regional African Satellite Communications Project and member of Expert Committee for West African Submarine Cable feasibility studies.
