Sasha Rubel Diamanka is the Regional Advisor for Communication and Information at the UNESCO Regional office for West Africa (Sahel), with a specific focus on promoting innovation and entrepreneurship through mobile technology in the Region. Prior to this, she was Liaison Officer for Culture, Social and Human Sciences, and Communication and Information to the African Union, Economic Commission for Africa, and the Ethiopian Government for UNESCO from 2013-2015, and Programme Coordinator in the Executive Office of the Communication and Information Sector in Paris from 2011-2013. With a PHD in design anthropology and new media studies, Master's Degrees from the Ecole Normale Superieure and Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales in Paris, France, and an undergraduate degree from Brown University, USA, Sasha Rubel Diamanka lectures in Universities in Europe, Africa, and the USA on the development of public policies and programmes that support innovation, entrepreneurship, and gender equality through public-private sector partnerships.
