The first industry-neutral SD-WAN service standards and certification

The SD-WAN market is growing quickly, and with it, the number of providers and vendors of SD-WAN services and the underlying technologies. The need to achieve standardized terminology and service attribute definitions to enable the market has become critically important. For that reason, MEF is proud to release the first industry-neutral SD-WAN service definition – MEF 70. This standard developed and approved by leading service providers and vendors is an industry initiative to define SD-WAN service and its various attributes. The SD-WAN service definition is a foundational step for accelerating sales, market adoption, and certification of MEF 3.0 SD-WAN services orchestrated across a global ecosystem of automated networks. In this session we will review the main attributes of the MEF SD-WAN service definitions and how MEF’s LSO (Lifecycle Service Orchestration) framework handles SD-WAN service orchestration.
