Alex is Head of Global Obligations and Futures for BT Security. Alex graduated from Warwick University in 1999 with a Masters in Electronic Engineering. He has held a variety of posts in a wide range of technical, design and regulatory governance areas for BT Group. Prior to BT, he worked in Satellite industry.

Alex has been involved in Global Standardisation and R&D in Mobile and Security technology for over 20 years. Alex has regularly contributed to various Standardisation groups including 3GPP and ETSI. In recent years Alex has focused on Telecoms Network Virtualisation (NFV), Cyber Security, AI and Regulatory aspects. Alex is currently chairman of ETSI TC Cyber, Chairman ETSI ISG NFV SEC, Chairman ETSI ISG AI and Chairman of 3GPP SA3’s regulatory sub-working group. He regularly presents at International Conferences on Cyber Security and Regulatory matters.
