Chris Daniel is the Business Line Manager for the HPE’s 5G Core Network program. With 25+ years of experience in the telecommunications industry, Chris joined HP in November 2006. Prior to leading HPE’s 5G Core Network program, Chris was responsible for the Subscriber Data Management and Mediation, Policy and Charging businesses for six years. Initially hired as a Chief Technologist, Chris then led the Sales and Account Management relationship to Verizon from 2008-2012. As the 5G Network Business Line Manager, Chris is responsible for all software and services HPE will sell into 5G Core networks and oversees all aspects of Sales, Marketing, Partner Management, Delivery, Product Development and Support.

From 2002-2006, Chris served as Vice President of Business Development for Leapstone Systems, developing converged service management and delivery solutions for voice, data, video, web, and content services. Chris led technical sales, partnership, go-to-market, and standards activities for Leapstone internationally. Before 2002, Chris held various positions at a Tier 1 US service provider. Chris last served three years as the Sr. Director of Next Generation Switching and Control, responsible for the evolution of all voice and data networks to converged, all-IP, core and service networks. Chris also held positions in Product Development, Operations, Program Management, as well as Switch and Transport Engineering. Chris served as Vice President of the Board of Directors for the MultiService Forum (MSF) from 2002-2006. He earned a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from the University of Arkansas in 1993.
