Janja Varšek is head of spectrum management department since 2014. She is responsible for preparing and implementing the strategy for managing spectrum including clearing, awarding and licensing. She joined the Administration for Telecommunications of the Republic of Slovenia predecessor of national regulator in 1992. She dealt with telecommunications equipment, electromagnetic compatibility and market regulation. She worked as market supervisor and inspector for telecommunications for four years. She is member of RSPG and ECC. She was also chair of latest multiband auction.
