Yasser currently is CISO of stc group, leading team of Cyber Security professionals responsible for protecting stc
group infrastructure, networks, and services to secure and enable the digital transformation journey in KSA to
support vision 2030.
Yasser has cross-industrial experience in different verticals and countries, including defense, law enforcement,
telecom, financial services, and government. He has a proven record of professional experience in information
security management, security audits, Security education, and incident handling & forensics investigation.
Throughout his career, Yasser had successfully established many cyber security capabilities, including building
advanced forensics investigations labs, security operation & threat intelligence centers, and Information Security
Management practices for organizations within the GCC region. He also was one of the senior members participating
in building the 1st Managed Security Service center (Raqeeb) in Saudi & GCC in 2007. Yasser also worked as a
technical lead member in designing and building large Cyber Security talents development programs for Security &
Defense organizations in KSA. Yasser holds a BSc from King Saud University in Computer sciences, awarded an
executive certificate in Strategy & Innovation from MIT Sloan School of Management, attended number of leadership
programs with Hult business school, DELL, Mobily and STC, furthermore; Yasser has a broad range of industry-leading
cybersecurity professional certifications including CISSP, CISM, BS7799, C|EH, C|HFI, EnCE, AEC, SCSP, ITIL
Foundation, Security+, and others. He is a member of several boards and advisory councils like board member of the
Saudi Arabian Federation for cybersecurity, programming, and drones, Member of the Saudi Group of Information
Assurance, Member of Advisory Council at Majmah University, Member of Advisory Council at Saudi Electronic
University, and member of the Cyber Security Center at the World Economic Forum.
