Muzi Ntombela is the CIO at the Centre for Public Service Innovation (CPSI). In addition to fulfilling his CIO duties, he leads the CPSI’s youth digital skills development programme and advises on solution development and scaling. He has more than 20 years of experience in the ICT sector, having started his journey as an IT technician at StatisticsSA, and then served at SITA for 5 years before joining the CPSI.
As part of his duties, he serves on Government IT Officers Council (GITOC) and represents the CPSI on the Open Government Partnership Steering Committee. As the CPSI’s focus shifted towards digital transformation, 4IR and digital skills development his responsibilities also extended to mentorship and support for hackathons and programmes targeting youth.
