What did our industry leaders, top solution providers and peers have to say about the event?
Chief Digital Officer
The curated experience with senior representatives from organizations at Africacom was invaluable to Webber Wentzel. The ability to network and have subsequent structured meetings in the physical break away areas created enabled fruitful engagement as well as collaboration and business opportunities. The tailored events at the VIP Pavilion enabled our attendees to further accelerate learning on key emerging trends and supplier capabilities. And the food was exceptional!
As always, it was a pleasure and privilege to participate in Africa’s premier ICT industry event. Thanks to the INFORMA team for a near flawless execution. The VIP100 club was a welcome introduction this year, using an interactive session with members to discuss key leadership and transformational topics, facilitated by class leading consultants. I look forward to the 2020 edition; more thought leadership, more insights, more innovations and more networking.
It was breathtaking. The presentations where so revealing it gave us a new view in our quest to expand into other markets across the continent. The sessions with MNO leaders and their openness to VAS providers unlike in the economy we operate in give you a different view of how to expand into the region and beyond. We made excellent contacts that has left us as an organization and me as an individual richer at all levels.
Africacom 2019 was definitely the highlight of the ICT calendar, once again the team put on a spectacular and incredibly professional performance. The networking opportunities this event creates allows all ICT professionals the ability engage and interact with the best in the business. From the "Tech talks" to the event gatherings, this event provides a platform that will provide every enthusiast and ICT company the ability to seek out new products and services that they can use to give their business a better chance for success.

This conference has always been one of the best Technology conferences that I have attended in the last two years. AfricaTech introduction to this year’s conference made it more unique for those of us from the IT background. I really enjoyed myself academically and socially and wish I would be given opportunity to attend next years.

I found the leadership sessions extremely valuable with high levels of engagement from industry leaders. It served as a very insightful session and well curated by the organisers. Considering how pressured such conferences can be, it is commendable that the organisers had the foresight to create such an engaging space. Well worth attending.
The VIP Program is excellent. The communication throughout was great. Program was very well balanced It is pity one can’t attend everything as the range of speakers and events is enormous. The App was very useful and really helped in pre-planning the event. The wine tasting event was really a highlight and the networking opportunities gained there were superb. Most of us attendees from that event formed a strong bond and attended many events as a group sharing experiences and recommending experiences and speakers worthwhile listening to. All in all, a great event. Well planned well executed. Kasia and her team were absolutely first class.

As a government employee and a citizen residing in the African continent I got to learn about the high level of digital innovation and creativity in other African countries. The case studies that were demonstrated left us with or jaws hanging. What was amazing was to know that those countries that are leading in the digital space have limited resources and infrastructure compared to South Africa. They have come up with various ways of providing internet connectivity in the villages that are extremely disadvantaged and marginalized. On the other hand, I got the opportunity to interact and engage with colleagues from other spheres of our government and I learnt a lot. I will definitely register again.

AfricaCom again allowed me to connect to the intelligence we own on the African Continent and left me with so many thoughts of how my organisation could do things differently!
Managing Executive Ventures & Partnerships
AfricaCom is a must-attend event on the annual calendar for the last 15 years. There is no other space to connect and reconnect with the African & global tech/telco eco-system like at AfricaCom.
VIP programme gave me an opportunity to network with like- minded entrepreneurs from all over the world. It also gave me access to all stages and events that are not only of interest to me but vital to the success of my business. I would highly recommend it for any tech entrepreneur who wants to take her business to new heights.

It was my first time attending the event and it was an eye opener to me. Topics discussed were relevant in the African context as well as all workplaces. It was fulfilling to me listening to the speakers speaking about what I term as workplace challenges which industry and organisations are faced with. The importance of innovation became prevalent. I am able to draw lessons and apply them at work place. I am able to seat in meetings and provide input necessary to the current infrastructure and consequences to follow if no maintenance upgrade are planned. I am able to provide and write staff papers necessary for successful operations, training, development and required resources. In the current hierarchy of command, I am able to advice on necessary infrastructure and resources required to sustain capabilities. I am aware that industries have prioritised infrastructure upgrades and so are defences in the African Battlespace. The importance of Innovate or Die became prevalent!

Enjoyed diverse topics and meeting people from various industries and experiences. An amazing networking opportunity

Awesome. Inspiring. Perfect. Opportunity driven. All the sessions were so on-point and totally invaluable. Great!
The experience has been amazing, the introduction to the different start-ups that have so much innovation it is an honour to have such a learning experience. The AHUB facilitation of this space has been awesome and excellent, it can only move higher and higher. I can also not forget the interaction with investors who gave valuable feedback. The presentations from start-ups I must say have been a great pleasure to see, and have motivated me and inspired me to engage deeper with what the world needs and what role I play in that
The organisation before the event has been incredible. The actual event has been a great experience.
We've had a great time and experience with all the potential investors you had organised for us and those we encountered during our time here with great and promising outcomes in all of them. AHub has been an amazing place for us to showcase our products and company, with a lot of people coming over to our stand and interacting with us. We hope to work with the AHub and you a lot more in the future, since we truly believe that this experience has added more value to our company and product in more ways than one.
The AHUB has been a well-run, welcoming and organised VIP area.
